Built for your kid's real friends.
No strangers, no DMs, no algorithms. Here's exactly how Buddzy keeps it safe.
Buddzy is a private social game where friend groups give Stars, keep Streaks, and play games together. Think of it as game night on their phone — with only people they know in real life. Buddzy is for ages 13 and up.
Four walls. Zero gaps.
How Buddzy keeps your child's social world private and safe.
No strangers
Friends are added through phone contacts, QR codes, or invite links. No discovery feed, no suggested friends.
No messaging
Zero private messaging. No DMs, no chat, no inbox. Friends interact through structured, positive actions — giving Stars, playing Challenges, taking Quizzes, and sending celebratory animations.
Nothing public
Profiles and rankings can be seen by other Buddzy users; your child's activity only by their friends. No follower counts, and nothing is visible outside the app.
Data stays private
Buddzy never sells user data. Revenue comes from optional cosmetics and from rewarded video ads your child chooses to watch — never from selling data. Signing up takes a phone number — no email, no real name — plus the technical data needed to run and secure the app.
What can they do?
Every interaction in Buddzy is structured, positive, and between real friends.
-
Give Stars Like giving a high-five, but it moves their friend closer in the Galaxy. Stars can never be bought — they're earned through daily play.
-
Keep daily Streaks A mutual daily check-in that builds consistency. Both friends have to show up every day — that's what makes it meaningful.
-
Play Challenges Creative dares with photo, video, or text submissions. All entries are hidden until the deadline — then revealed at once. The creator picks a winner.
-
Take Lore Quizzes Create trivia about yourself and see which friends know you best. Scored on accuracy, ranked among the friends who played.
-
Play Reveal Post a photo behind a blur; friends hold to uncover it and guess what's happening. Every photo and answer is checked before it goes live, and only invited friends ever see it.
-
Customize their Galaxy A visual universe where friends orbit like planets. Unlock backgrounds, music, and effects as they level up through regular use.
-
Climb the rankings Called Current Orbit in the app. 14-day cycles among their friend group where everyone starts fresh. Rankings are private — only visible to mutual friends.
What about money?
Stars — the main currency that drives rankings and friendships — cannot be purchased with real money under any circumstances. The core gameplay is 100% free.
- Orbs are an optional premium currency for cosmetics and quality-of-life features
- Every purchase requires device authentication (Face ID, fingerprint, or password)
- No pay-to-win — spending money never affects rankings
- Cosmetics are permanent once purchased
- Orbs can be earned for free through daily rewards and short video ads
- Spending Orbs mostly benefits friends, not just the buyer
Your controls
Everything you need to stay in the loop.
Built into every interaction: profiles, challenges, quizzes and photos. Reports go directly to our team for review.
Full permanent data erasure at any time. No hidden retention, no deactivation limbo.
Request a complete copy of all account data whenever you want.
Every notification type can be individually toggled on or off.
Only the device timezone for daily resets. No GPS, no maps, no check-ins. Ever.
Selfies used for the avatar generator are stored temporarily and processed by an AI provider under a data-processing agreement, and are used for nothing else. Reveal photos are checked for safety before anyone sees them, and only invited friends ever do. Nothing is public, nothing is searchable.
Privacy isn't a setting we added. It's the architecture.
