How It Works
Galaxy Layouts give you access to alternative mathematical arrangements for the planets in your Galaxy. Instead of the standard circular orbits, you can choose from a collection of more complex geometric configurations that completely change how your solar system looks and feels.
The standard layout uses simple concentric circles. Galaxy Layouts introduce:
- Spiral arrangements — Planets arranged along spiral arms, creating a more dynamic, galaxy-like appearance
- Geometric patterns — Formations based on mathematical shapes like pentagons, hexagons, and other polygons
- Cluster formations — Grouped arrangements that organize planets by relationship proximity in visually interesting ways
- Asymmetric designs — Intentionally irregular layouts that create a more organic, natural feel
Each layout rearranges the same planets and the same friendship data. Your closest friends are still prominently placed. The layout just changes the visual geometry of how everything is positioned.

Phase Cosmic Unlock
Galaxy Layouts share their unlock Phase with Orbit Trails, and for good reason. These two cosmetics are designed to work together. Orbit Trails draw visible paths behind moving planets, and Galaxy Layouts determine what those paths look like. Spiral Orbit Trails are a completely different visual experience than geometric Orbit Trails. The combination creates some of the most stunning visuals in the entire app.
Friendship Data Stays Intact
Galaxy Layouts only change the visual arrangement. Your closest friends are still nearest to your sun, and all gameplay mechanics function identically regardless of layout. It's purely visual.

- Experiment with every available layout before settling on one. Some layouts look better with many friends while others shine with fewer, more prominent planets.
- Pair your layout choice with a matching Galaxy Background. Spiral layouts look amazing over nebula backgrounds. Geometric layouts pair well with cleaner, more structured backgrounds.
- Check how your layout looks with Orbit Trails active. The trail patterns change dramatically between layouts, and finding the right combo is incredibly satisfying.
