How It Works
Particle Effects are a distinct visual layer that sits in the foreground of your Galaxy view. This is important to understand architecturally: they don't replace your Galaxy Background and they don't attach to your planets. They exist on their own separate layer between the camera (your screen) and the celestial objects in your Galaxy.
Think of it like this:
- Back layer — Galaxy Background (nebulae, star fields, etc.)
- Middle layer — Your sun, planets, and orbits
- Front layer — Particle Effects (this is what we're talking about)
This layered approach means Particle Effects add depth and motion to your Galaxy without interfering with any of your other cosmetics. Everything works together in harmony.
What They Look Like
Particle Effects come in various styles, each creating a different atmosphere:
- Cosmic dust — Tiny glowing specks drifting slowly across the screen, creating a sense of depth and movement

The Phase Neon Unlock
Phase Neon sits above Phase Blaze, so by the time you unlock Particle Effects your Galaxy already has a custom background and music. Adding particles on top creates a genuinely stunning multi-layered environment.
