- Streak indicators — Streak badges appear when a Streak starts and disappear the moment one breaks. The fire icon is always accurate
- New planets — When you add a new friend, their planet materializes in your Galaxy immediately. Welcome to the orbit
- Ranking badges — Crown and leaderboard indicators shift as Current Orbit standings change
You never need to refresh, restart, or wait for a sync cycle. The Galaxy is always current.
Why Real-Time Matters
In most apps, data updates happen in batches. You might not see a change until you refresh or the app checks the server. Buddzy does not work that way. The Galaxy maintains a live connection, so every action — yours or your friends' — is reflected the instant it happens.

Any of these actions cause an immediate visual change in your Galaxy:
- Giving or receiving Stars (distance shift + pulse animation)
- A friend entering a new Aura phase (planet size change)

- Leaderboard ranking changes (badge updates)

- Keep your Galaxy open for a minute after giving Stars to several friends — you will see all the orbital shifts happen and it is deeply satisfying
- If you notice a friend's planet suddenly getting bigger, send them a congratulatory Star or Bud Bomb for their level-up
