Refund Policy

Orb purchase refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not Buddzy. Here's how to request one and what to expect from the process.

Need a refund on an Orb purchase? Here's the honest truth: Buddzy can't process refunds directly. Since all payments go through Apple's App Store or Google Play, those are the only channels that can reverse a charge. But don't worry, the process is straightforward, and both platforms have well-established refund systems.

How It Works

Because Buddzy uses Apple and Google's native billing systems for all purchases, the refund flow works like this:

  • Buddzy receives purchase confirmations from Apple/Google and credits Orbs to your account
  • Buddzy does not have access to your payment details or billing system
  • Refund requests must go through Apple or Google directly
  • If a refund is granted, Apple/Google handles the reversal and notifies Buddzy

Buddzy simply cannot reverse a charge because Buddzy never processed the charge in the first place. It's not that they won't help; it's that they literally can't on the payment side.

Requesting a Refund on Apple

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find the Buddzy Orb purchase in your history
  4. Select "Request a Refund" and choose your reason
  5. Submit and wait for Apple's decision (usually within 48 hours)

Requesting a Refund on Google

  1. Open Google Play on your device or go to play.google.com
  2. Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions
  3. Go to Budget & history
  4. Find the Buddzy purchase and tap it
  5. Select Request a refund and follow the prompts

What Happens to Your Orbs

If Apple or Google grants a refund, the Orbs associated with that purchase will be removed from your Buddzy account. If you've already spent some or all of those Orbs, your balance may go negative until it's resolved. This is standard practice across all apps that use in-app purchases.

Pro Tips

  • Act quickly. Both Apple and Google are more likely to grant refunds for recent purchases. Don't wait weeks to file.
  • Be specific about your reason. "Accidental purchase" or "didn't receive items" are common valid reasons. Vague requests may get denied.
  • Check your Orb wallet first. Make sure the Orbs were actually credited before requesting a refund. Sometimes a brief delay can look like a failed purchase.

Good to Know

Fraudulent chargebacks, which means buying Orbs, spending them, and then requesting a refund to get your money back, are treated as cheating and will result in a permanent ban. Apple and Google both flag suspicious refund patterns, and Buddzy takes this very seriously. Play fair and the refund system will be there for you when you genuinely need it.
