No Data Sharing Policy

Buddzy never shares your data with partners, investors, or research firms. Your data exists to power game mechanics and nothing else.

Let's make this as clear as possible. Buddzy does not share your data with anyone. Not with business partners. Not with investors. Not with research firms. Not with data brokers. Not with government agencies beyond what is legally required. Your data exists for exactly one purpose — to make the game work — and it never leaves that context.

How It Works

The principle is dead simple. Every piece of data Buddzy collects is used exclusively for internal game mechanics. Your Stars, your Streaks, your Aura, your Galaxy — all of that data powers your personal Buddzy experience and nothing else. Here is what that commitment looks like in practice:

  • No partner sharing — We do not have data-sharing agreements with business partners or affiliated companies
  • No investor access — Our investors see business metrics and aggregated analytics, never individual user data
  • No research sharing — We do not provide user data to academic institutions, research firms, or think tanks
  • No data broker relationships — We do not sell, license, or trade user data with data brokers or aggregators
  • No government backdoors — Beyond legally mandated compliance, we do not provide bulk data access to any government entity

Why Buddzy Does Not Need To

Most social apps share data because it is profitable — selling insights to advertisers or licensing behavioral data to research companies. Buddzy makes money from Orbs, optional cosmetic purchases that players choose to buy. This business model means we do not need to monetize your data. When your revenue does not depend on data exploitation, the decision to not share is just the obvious right thing to do.

What About Aggregated Data?

Even in aggregated form, Buddzy does not share user data externally. We use internal analytics to improve the game and understand feature usage, but those insights stay inside the company.

The one exception is the service providers that make the app physically work — our hosting, crash reporting, push notifications, and the partner that sends your SMS code and blocks fake sign-ups. They only ever handle the data needed to do that specific job, they work under contract on our instructions, and they are never allowed to use it for their own purposes.

The one place data goes further is the rewarded ads you opt into: Google receives your advertising ID and IP to serve the ad, and it does that under its own terms. That is a genuine exception and we would rather name it than hide it — but it never includes anything from your Buddzy account. The full picture lives on our Subprocessors page and in the ads article.

Pro Tips

  • You can always request a data export to see exactly what Buddzy has about you. There are no hidden databases or shadow profiles.
  • If you ever see a claim that Buddzy shares data with a third party, it is false. Report it to our support team.

Good to Know

Your data powers your game and nothing else. That is not a marketing slogan — it is an engineering decision that is built into how the entire system works. We do not have the infrastructure to share data externally because we never built it in the first place.
