How It Works
Missions roughly fall into two difficulty tiers:
Easy Missions are the quick wins. They typically take 5-10 minutes to complete and reward 2-3 Stars. These are tasks like giving a few Stars to friends or maintaining a Streak you already have running. Minimal effort, solid payout.
Easy Mission traits:
- Time investment — 5-10 minutes at most
- Reward — 2-3 Stars + 10 Aura typically
- Independence — Usually completable on your own
- Overlap — Often aligns with what you are already doing in the app
Hard Missions are the real challenges. They can take 15-30 minutes and sometimes depend on your friends being active. The reward jumps to 4-5 Stars to compensate for the extra hustle.
Hard Mission traits:
- Time investment — 15-30 minutes, sometimes more
- Reward — 4-5 Stars + 10 Aura typically
- Friend dependency — May require a friend to reciprocate or participate
- Deliberate action — Rarely overlaps with your normal routine
The Effort-Reward Balance
Here is where it gets interesting. Buddzy intentionally scales rewards with difficulty. You will never see a 5-Star Mission that takes one tap, and you will never see a 2-Star Mission that takes half an hour. The system is designed to be fair.
But "fair" does not always mean "worth it." A 2-Star easy Mission you complete in 2 minutes gives you 1 Star per minute. A 5-Star hard Mission that takes 30 minutes gives you about 0.17 Stars per minute. From a pure efficiency standpoint, easy Missions are often the better deal.

- Easy Missions are almost always worth doing — The time investment is negligible
- Evaluate hard Missions carefully — Is the extra 2-3 Stars worth 20+ more minutes?
- If a hard Mission depends on a friend, message them early in the day so they have time to help
