Buddzy does not drop you into an empty app. By the time you reach your Galaxy for the first time, three separate things have already landed. They are easy to confuse, so here is what each one is.
1. The Stars you give away during onboarding
At the Star Your Crew step, you spread a small budget of Stars across the friends you just added. One friend appears large and centred; tap their avatar to give them a Star, then swipe the wheel below to move on to the next.
The important part: these Stars are free and they do not come out of your balance. They are a gift to your friends, not a deduction from you. Spend the whole budget without a second thought — that is the entire point of the step.
Nothing is actually sent until the next screen, so you can re-spread as many times as you like before committing.
2. Your own starting balance
Separately, Stars are waiting for you in your Galaxy. You will see them previewed on the First Chest screen before you arrive.
These are yours to give to whoever you want, whenever you want. They behave exactly like every other Star: they can be given to friends, they feed your bonds and your rankings, and they have no cash value and never will.
3. The Welcome Pack — 5 Orbs
At the end of onboarding you tap a closed chest to open it. Inside is your Welcome Pack: 5 Orbs.
You have to open it. That is deliberate — Buddzy never grants anything silently, from your first minute onwards. Every reward in the app is a moment you tap, not a number that quietly changes.
Five Orbs is enough for a mood emoji or most of the way to a Flair or two. Not enough to buy a game outright, which is intentional too — it is a taste, not a head start.
One tap finishes everything
"See my galaxy" on the First Chest screen does four things at once: delivers your onboarding Stars to the friends you chose, claims your Welcome Pack, completes onboarding, and drops you into your Galaxy.
Because completion hangs on that last tap, quitting halfway through never leaves you stuck in a half-finished account. You either finished onboarding or you did not.
What to do with your first Stars
- Spread rather than concentrate. Three or four friends getting a Star each does far more for your Galaxy than one friend getting everything.
- Start a Streak. Streaks are kept with the dedicated fidelity button, not by giving Stars — but the friends you starred first are the obvious ones to start one with.
- Give again tomorrow. Your wallet trickles in 1 Star every 4 hours and your first Daily Chest is waiting within 24 hours. There is no reason to hoard.
Good to know
Stars given to you before you registered are not lost. If friends had already been sending you Stars while you were still just a contact in their phone, they are held for you and presented during onboarding. Nobody's generosity is wasted because you joined late.
