Buddzy runs on two separate currencies, and understanding the difference between them is essential to getting the most out of the app. Stars and Orbs might both be things you collect, but they serve completely different purposes and follow completely different rules. Orbs are the premium currency in Buddzy. Unlike Stars, Orbs can be purchased with real money. You also earn small amounts from the Daily Chest, which drops 1 to 3 Orbs every day alongside your Stars. Orbs are used for premium features and upgrades within the app.
The Separation Wall
Here is the critical thing to understand: Orbs cannot buy Stars directly. This is a deliberate design choice that keeps the Star economy pure and social. No matter how many Orbs you have or how much money you spend, you cannot convert that wealth into Stars. Stars must be earned the old-fashioned way through time, engagement, and genuine friendships.
