Stars come from more places than most people realise. The passive trickle gets all the attention because it is always ticking, but it is actually the smallest piece. Here is the full list.
The trickle
1 Star every 4 hours, automatically, until you are holding 12 — then it pauses until you spend back below. That is up to 6 Stars a day if you keep giving.
The 12 stops the trickle, not your wallet. Everything below stacks on top of it with no ceiling at all. See Your Star Wallet for why that distinction matters.
The Daily Chest
Once every 24 hours, anchored to 12:00 UTC. You get 3 Stars, plus a friendship bonus that grows with your reciprocal friend count:
| Reciprocal friends | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 0 | +1 |
| 3 | +2 |
| 6 | +3 |
| 10 | +4 |
| 20+ | +5 |
So 4 Stars on your first day, 8 once your circle is real. Plus 1–3 Orbs in the same chest. You have to tap to open it — it never collects itself.
Missions
Two a day, reset at midnight your local time. Completing one pays Stars (and 10 Aura). You tap to claim; nothing is granted silently.
Missions pay Stars only — no Orbs.
Invites and packs
This is where the big numbers live:
- Founders Pack — 20 Stars, 15 Orbs and the Founding Squad badge, when a group invite lands 3+ members
- Inviting a friend — 5 Stars when they sign up, 3 more when they give their first Stars
- Nudging a friend back — if they return within 48 hours, you both get 5
Coming back
- Catch-up bonus — 10 Stars when you return after a week away
- Survey — 5 Stars for filling one in
The source that isn't one
Winning a Challenge, placing top 3 in a Reveal, or scoring 75%+ on a friend's Lore Quiz gives you Stars — but not Stars you can spend.
Those come from the host, through your friendship with them. They raise your received Star count and strengthen that one bond, exactly as if your friend had handed them to you directly. They never top up your giveable balance.
This is deliberate. If winning games filled your wallet, the best givers would be the best players instead of the most generous friends. The only spendable thing a game hands you is Orbs.
A realistic day
| Source | Stars |
|---|---|
| Trickle, if you keep spending | up to 6 |
| Daily Chest | 4–8 |
| Two Missions | a few |
Call it low double digits on an ordinary day — and considerably more on any day you land a pack, an invite milestone, or a comeback bonus.
The takeaway
The trickle rewards being present. Everything else rewards doing something — opening the chest, finishing a mission, bringing someone in. That is the whole design: the floor is automatic, the volume is earned.
