Buddzy monitors all your active Streaks throughout the day. When the system detects that you or your friend have not yet exchanged Stars and the daily deadline is getting close, it sends a push notification straight to your phone. The message is clear and direct, something like "Your Streak with Alex is about to expire!" There is no ambiguity about what you need to do. Open the app, send a Star, and your Streak lives to see another day.
When Do They Fire?
Streak reminder notifications are sent at critical hours when the deadline is approaching. The system does not bother you in the morning or afternoon if there is plenty of time left. It waits until the situation is actually urgent before pinging you. This means the notifications typically hit in the evening hours relative to your local timezone, when midnight is getting uncomfortably close and you still have not completed your daily exchange.
What Triggers a Notification
A Streak notification is triggered when both conditions are true. First, the daily exchange has not been completed for that specific friendship. Second, the remaining time before midnight has dropped below the critical threshold. If you already sent your Fidelity Star or exchanged Stars with that friend earlier in the day, you will not get a notification for that Streak because the system knows it is already safe.

These reminders come as push notifications, which means they show up on your phone's lock screen and notification tray even when you are not actively using Buddzy. Multiple Streaks, Multiple Notifications
If you have several active Streaks that all need attention, you will receive separate notifications for each one. This can get a bit busy if you have a lot of Streaks that you have neglected on a particular day, but honestly, that is a good thing.
