Streaks are less fragile than most people think. One bad day does not wipe out months of work. Here is exactly where the line is.
One missed day: at risk, not gone
If you or your friend does not tap the fidelity button before midnight in your local timezone, the Streak does not reset. It enters a repair window, and — this is the part that surprises people — your counter stays exactly where it was. A 47-day Streak that misses a day is still showing 47.
You will see it flagged in two places:
- On your friend's profile, the flame turns into a red Repair state
- On your Galaxy, their planet wears a distinct at-risk flame

Two missed days: that's the end
If the window passes without a repair, the Streak resets to zero and repair is no longer available. There is no appeal and no second window. Two missed days is the actual break.
It only takes one of you
This is the part worth telling your friend. A Streak is mutual — both sides have to tap the fidelity button each day. If you are perfect for 60 days straight and your friend forgets twice in a row, the Streak still ends. Your effort alone cannot carry it.
That is the point of a Streak: it measures a relationship showing up, not one person trying hard.
Giving Stars does not count
Sending Stars is a different action. It does not touch your Streak, no matter how many you send. Streaks are kept alive only by the dedicated fidelity button on your friend's profile.
Plenty of broken Streaks come from exactly this misunderstanding — someone gave Stars all week and assumed they were covered.
The clock is your local day
The deadline is midnight in your own timezone, not UTC and not your friend's. If you are in different timezones, your days end at different moments, and each of you is judged on your own clock.
If your friend lives several hours ahead, their day ends first. Worth knowing before you leave it until late.
How to not need any of this
- Do it early. The fidelity tap takes two seconds. Doing it in the morning removes the whole problem.
- Turn on Streak notifications. You get a warning before the deadline — see Streak Safety Alerts.
- Watch your Galaxy. The flame on a planet tells you at a glance who still needs you today.
- Say something. If your friend keeps forgetting, tell them. A Streak is a two-person commitment and treating it like one is the only real fix.
