Someone missed a day. Before you panic: your Streak counter has not moved. It is sitting exactly where it was, waiting. You are in the repair window, and you have one day to use it.
What a repair actually does
It is easy to picture repair as rewinding a disaster. It is not. Nothing was lost yet.
When one side misses a day, the Streak goes into an at-risk state but keeps its number. Repairing puts both sides back to active so the Streak carries on from where it was. A 47-day Streak that gets repaired is still a 47-day Streak, and it keeps counting the next day.
The cost
10 Orbs, flat. Same price whether the Streak is 5 days or 500. Nothing scales, nothing is hidden.
Where to do it
Two places, same result:
- Your friend's profile — the flame shows the red Repair state; tap it to open the repair sheet
- Your Galaxy — the planet wears an at-risk flame; open their friend card and the repair action is right there
Confirm the 10 Orbs and it is done. Your friend gets notified that you saved it, and your mutual friends see it in the feed.
You have one day
The window is exactly that: one day. If a second day passes with nobody tapping the fidelity button, the window closes, the counter resets to zero, and repair stops being an option. See When Repair Is No Longer Possible.
So the honest advice is boring: do it when you notice, not later.
Or let it go
Repair is never forced. The sheet also offers Abandon Streak, which resets the counter to zero for free.
That is a completely reasonable choice. A 3-day Streak is not worth 10 Orbs — you can rebuild it in three days. Save the Orbs for the Streaks that actually represent something.
Repair does not buy you slack
Once repaired, you are straight back to normal rules. No grace period, no shield, no protection for the next day. Both of you still need to tap the fidelity button before midnight.
If a Streak needed repairing, that is usually a sign the daily habit slipped. Fix the habit, not just the counter.
