How It Works
There are two paths to getting a new avatar:
Option 1 — Choose a Default Avatar
- Go to Settings > Profile > Avatar.
- Tap Choose Default Avatar.
- Browse the collection of 10+ pre-designed illustrated avatars.
- Pick the one that vibes with you.
- Done. It's applied instantly.
Default avatars are great if you want something quick and polished without going through the AI process. They're all uniquely designed illustrations with tons of personality.
Option 2 — Upload for Comicsify AI
- Go to Settings > Profile > Avatar.
- Tap Upload Photo.
- Take a selfie or pick a photo from your gallery.
- Wait about 5 seconds while the Comicsify AI transforms your photo into a comic-style avatar.
- Love it? Save it. Not feeling it? Regenerate for a new interpretation.
The Comicsify route gives you a personalized avatar that actually looks like you — but in comic book style. It's one of Buddzy's standout features.
Switching Between Avatars
You're never locked into a choice. Swap between your Comicsify avatar and any default avatar whenever you want. There's no cooldown, no cost, and no limit on how many times you switch. Feel like rocking a default today and your AI avatar tomorrow? Go for it.

Pro Tips
- Try the Comicsify AI at least once. Seeing yourself as a comic character is genuinely cool and your friends will love it.
