Challenges have a single price and a single prize. Neither is adjustable, and that is a recent and deliberate change.
What it costs to create
5 Orbs. Same as a Lore Quiz or a Reveal.
It is not refundable. If nobody submits, or you forget to judge, those Orbs are gone. That is the point of a cost — it makes you think for a second before broadcasting to your whole friend list.
What the winner gets

That is it, in every Challenge, every time. You do not choose the amount — a win is worth the same whoever hosted it, so nobody has to weigh up whether a Challenge is worth entering.
Where the Stars actually come from
The winner's 5 Stars come from you, through your friendship with them. That means:
- Their received Star total goes up
- Your bond with them strengthens — their planet moves closer in your Galaxy
- Their giveable balance does not change
It works exactly as if you had opened their profile and handed them 5 Stars yourself. Which, in effect, is what hosting a Challenge is.
The only spendable thing a win produces is the 2 Orbs.
The winner has to claim it
Nothing lands automatically. When you crown a winner, the result is recorded immediately, and they get an unmissable "You Won!" celebration next time they open the app. They tap to collect.
They can claim whenever — there is no expiry. It just never happens silently in the background.
The participation threshold
Rewards only go out if at least 2 friends submitted proof.
It is an absolute floor, not a percentage. Invite 20 friends and get 3 submissions and your Challenge is perfectly valid, so there is never a reason to hold back on who you invite.
The Aura
Aura is granted automatically, no claiming:

Note that last row: submitting earns Aura whether you win or not. Showing up counts.

If someone forks your public Challenge, you earn 1 Orb per fork. Free money for writing a good prompt.
