Understanding the Referral Milestones
When a friend signs up through your invite link, their journey through Buddzy is tracked across four milestones. Each milestone represents a meaningful step in their experience, and each one earns you a reward delivered as a claimable Present.
Milestone 1: Signup
Your friend creates a Buddzy account using your personal invite link. This is the first and simplest milestone — as soon as their account is live, you earn 5 Stars. The link is what ties the signup back to you, so make sure your friend uses it rather than searching for the app on their own.
Milestone 2: First Stars
Your friend gives their first Stars to someone on Buddzy. This milestone shows that your friend is engaging with the core of what makes Buddzy special — appreciating others. When they send Stars for the first time, you earn 3 Stars + 2 Orbs. It's a sign that your friend is getting the hang of things.
Milestone 3: Onboarding Complete
Your friend finishes the full onboarding and setup flow. This means they've gone through all the introductory steps, set up their profile, and are fully ready to explore everything Buddzy has to offer. Completing onboarding earns you 5 Orbs. At this point, your friend is well on their way.
Milestone 4: Day 7 Active
Your friend has been active on Buddzy for a full seven days. This doesn't have to be seven consecutive days — it just means they've shown up and engaged over the course of a week. This is the biggest reward at 10 Orbs, because a friend who sticks around for a week is likely to stay for the long haul.
And then Day 30
There is a fifth checkpoint, but it is not a milestone reward. If your invited friend is still logging in 30 days after they joined, it credits your Recruiter achievement ladder — no extra Orbs, just the achievement progress.
Both the Day 7 and Day 30 checks are self-healing: if your friend misses the activity window on the exact qualifying day, they still count the next day they log in. Nothing is lost because someone took a weekend off.
How Rewards Arrive
Each time a milestone is reached, your reward is delivered as a Present. The next time you open the app, a celebration overlay appears on your screen with all the details. Tap Claim to open it, and the Stars or Orbs go straight into your account. If you miss the overlay, unclaimed Presents are always available in your notifications tab.
