Rule 1 — Keep Your OTP Private
Your OTP code is your key to Buddzy. When you receive a one-time password via SMS, it is meant for your eyes only. Here is what to remember:
- Never share your OTP with anyone — Not friends, not family, not someone claiming to be from Buddzy support
- Buddzy will never ask for your OTP outside of the login screen in the app
- If someone asks for your code, they are trying to access your account. Full stop.
Rule 2 — Do Not Share Device Access
Your Buddzy account is tied to your phone, and anyone who can unlock your phone can potentially access your account. Keep things locked down:
- Use a strong lock screen — Face ID, fingerprint, or a PIN that is not "1234"
- Do not hand your unlocked phone to people you do not trust — It takes seconds to open Buddzy and mess with your account
- Log out if your device is compromised — If you think someone had unauthorized access to your phone, secure your account immediately
Rule 3 — Verify Your Friends
Your friend list determines who sees your rankings, who appears in your Galaxy, and who can interact with you. Be intentional about it:
