Buddzy does not reduce your friendships to one number. It sorts them three different ways, and each one answers a different question. Two of them are about what you have done; the third is about your friends.
Worth knowing up front: these are rankings of your friends, from your point of view. They are not a scoreboard of you against other people, and there is no screen where you appear on someone else's list.
1. All-Time
Every Star you have ever given each friend, added up across the whole life of your account.
It never fully resets — but at the end of each orbit it takes a 10% decay, applied only to friendships already sitting above 10 Stars. So a bond you built two years ago and never touched again slowly loosens, while one you keep feeding stays close. Staying at the top of All-Time means showing up, not peaking once.
You can watch the decay happen: when an orbit ends, the removed Stars float up over the affected planets in your Galaxy.
2. Current Orbit
The 14-day cycle. It counts only the Stars you have given during the orbit that is running right now, and everyone starts each one from zero.
Orbits are synchronised for everyone on Buddzy, so you and your friends are always in the same cycle. When one ends, your top-ranked friend gets told they were your number one, the totals are filed away as Last Orbit, and a fresh one opens.
You reach it from the Current Orbit control on your Galaxy's right-hand rail. It opens as a top-three podium, with the previous orbit's winner shown as a small champion chip above it. When an orbit has just wrapped, an ENDED pill appears next to the control — tap it to replay the podium celebration and watch the decay land.
3. Popularity
This one is different, and people mix it up constantly.
Popularity does not measure you. It sorts your friends by how many Stars they have received from everyone on Buddzy, not just from you. It answers: "which of my friends is the most celebrated out there?"
So a friend can sit near the bottom of your All-Time list and near the top of Popularity. That is not a contradiction — it just means plenty of other people are showing up for them.
Why three?
Because they reward completely different things:

The first two are yours to move. The third is there so you can see your circle, not compete in it.
These are private
Nobody sees your ranked lists. Not your friends, not strangers, not anyone. What friends do see is the shape of your Galaxy — planets orbit closer when you have given more — and the Most Generous view, which shows who gives to whom.
That is the deal Buddzy makes: your investment is visible as a feeling, never as a number on a board someone else can read.
Where they live now
All of this hangs off your Galaxy, not a separate rankings screen. The right-hand rail carries Current Orbit and Best Givers; orbital distance carries All-Time at a glance. There is no leaderboard tab to hunt for any more.
