The Core Rule
Stars are visible only to mutual friends. This means someone can only see your Star stats if both of you have added each other as friends in the app. If someone has added you but you have not added them back, they cannot see your Stars. If a random person somehow stumbles across your profile, they see nothing. The relationship must be mutual for any Star data to be shared.
No Public Discovery
Unlike social media platforms where anyone can look up your profile and see your activity, Buddzy has zero public discovery for Star information. There is no global search where strangers can find you and see your leaderboard ranking. There is no public profile page that displays your Star count. Your Star data lives exclusively within your private friend circle.
What Mutual Friends Can See
Your mutual friends can see your position on the three leaderboards: All-Time, Current Orbit, and Popularity. They can see how many Stars you have received, and they can see the Star history between the two of you specifically. This level of visibility makes the competitive elements fun and meaningful without exposing anything to people outside your trusted circle.
