Your Star Giver Level

A ten-tier ladder based on every Star you've ever given. It sits above your wallet on the giving screen and ticks down live as you build a gift.

Star Giver is the ladder that tracks the one number Buddzy cares about most: how many Stars you have given, ever. Not received, not held — given.

Where you see it

On the star-giving screen, just above your wallet. It shows three things:

  • Your current tier and position — "My Star Giver Level (6/10): Dolphin"
  • A fill bar for how far into that tier you are
  • How far to the next one, named as the goal — "8 ⭐ to Whale Status"

It sits above the wallet and clear of your friend's big avatar, so it reads unmistakably as yours and not theirs.

It ticks down live

Here is the nice part. As you tap your friend's avatar to build up a gift, the "stars remaining" figure counts down in real time — it folds in the Stars you have stacked but not yet sent.

So you can watch yourself close in on the next tier before you have even hit Send. If you are two Stars short of Whale, you can see it and decide.

Your current tier, though, only counts Stars you have actually sent. A tier is not yours until the batch has gone. No borrowing against a gift you have not made.

Ten tiers

The ladder runs ten deep and the names get progressively more ridiculous as you climb, which is the point. Passing a tier is a real moment — it is the app noticing that you have spent months being generous.

Why it lives here

This is the screen where the number actually goes up. Seeing how close you are while you are building a gift is a lot more useful than finding out later on a stats page.

It only ever goes up

Giving Stars is the only thing that moves it. Nothing you do — or fail to do — takes it back down. Star decay at the end of an orbit touches friendship totals, not your lifetime given count.

So a quiet month costs you nothing here. The ladder is a record of everything you have ever done for your friends, and it keeps all of it.

How to climb it

There is no trick, and that is deliberate. You cannot buy Stars, so you cannot buy this. The only route is being the friend who gives.

The practical version: spread rather than concentrate. Ten friends getting one Star each moves this ladder exactly as much as one friend getting ten — but it does considerably more for your Galaxy.
