Your bio is the little text snippet that lives right on your profile page, and the Mood emoji is a temporary vibe indicator that sits next to your name. Together, they're your way of telling your friends what's going on in your world without saying a word.
How It Works
Setting Your Bio
- Go to Settings (gear icon, bottom-right).
- Tap Profile.
- Find the bio field and type whatever you want.
- Save it. Done.
Your bio is completely free-text. Write a quote, drop some song lyrics, hype up your orbit run, or just put "hi." There are no rules here. It's visible to all your friends whenever they check out your profile.
Setting Your Mood Emoji
- Go to your Profile page.
- Tap Mood.
- Pick an emoji that matches your current vibe.
- Choose a duration — 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days.
- Spend 1-2 Orbs to activate it.
Once set, your Mood emoji appears next to your name across the app. Your friends will see it when they view your profile, spot you on leaderboards, or interact with you in their Galaxy.
Why Bother?
In an app with no DMs or comment sections, your bio and Mood emoji are your voice. They let you communicate something to your friends — maybe you're feeling competitive this week, maybe you're going through it, or maybe you just found the perfect emoji to express your energy. It's a small detail that makes your profile feel alive and personal.
The Orb Cost
The Mood emoji is one of the few things in Buddzy that costs Orbs. It's intentionally cheap (1-2 Orbs depending on the duration) so you can switch it up regularly. Think of it as a tiny investment in self-expression. If you're actively playing, you'll earn way more Orbs than you spend on moods.
Pro Tips
- Change your bio before a new orbit. Something like "coming for that #1 spot" hits different when you're actually closing in on someone's number one spot.
- Stack your Mood emoji with your bio for maximum personality. A fire emoji plus a competitive bio? Your friends know what's up.
- The Mood emoji expires automatically after your chosen duration. You don't need to manually remove it.
- Blank bios are fine too. Sometimes the mystery is the vibe.
Good to Know
Your bio has no character limit listed, but keep it concise — it shows on your profile and long walls of text don't look great on mobile. Your Mood emoji is only visible to friends, so strangers never see your vibe. Privacy first, always.
