Look at your Galaxy before it is full and you will see gently pulsing dashed rings sitting among your planets. They are empty orbits: places a friend could take.
What they do
Tap one and it opens your contacts, ready to add someone.
That is the whole feature. It is an invitation built into the map rather than a banner telling you to invite people.
They disappear at 10
Empty orbits appear until your Galaxy holds 10 friends, and then they are gone for good. You will not see them again.
Ten is also the threshold for the Full Galaxy soft gate, so the rings vanish at exactly the moment you unlock it. The two are the same milestone seen from different angles.
Only on your own Galaxy
You never see empty orbits on a friend's Galaxy. Their gaps are not your business, and nobody wants a visitor being shown where their friend list falls short.
Including a brand new Galaxy
They appear even when you have no friends yet — a Galaxy of nothing but empty rings, waiting. It is a better first screen than an empty void, and it makes the next action obvious without a tutorial.
Filling them
Empty orbits open your contacts, but that is not the only route in. See Adding Your First Friends for invite links, QR codes and username search, and the Hub's Grow tab for group invites and the Founders Pack.
Good to know
Friends do not need to have registered on Buddzy to take an orbit. Add a contact and they appear as a planet straight away — you can give them Stars, invite them into games, and they will claim everything waiting for them whenever they join.
