The Settings screen is your control center for everything in Buddzy that isn't gameplay. Profile customization, notification preferences, privacy controls, language options, support access — it's all tucked behind one little gear icon. Let's walk through the whole menu so you know exactly what's where.
How to Get There
Tap the gear icon in the bottom-right corner of the app. That's it. You're in Settings.
What's Inside
Here's a breakdown of every section you'll find in Settings:
Profile
This is where you edit your display name, bio, and avatar. It's the first section most people visit because personalizing your profile is one of the most satisfying parts of setting up Buddzy. Changes here take effect instantly.
Notifications
Control exactly which push notifications you receive. You can toggle alerts for Stars, Streaks, Missions, orbits, and more. If Buddzy is buzzing your phone too much (or not enough), this is where you fine-tune it.
Privacy
Manage your privacy settings, including who can see your activity and how your data is handled. Buddzy is already built with a privacy-first approach, but this section gives you extra granular control.
Language
Switch the app's display language. Buddzy supports 10+ languages, and changing your language requires a quick app restart to take effect. More details in the Language Settings article.
About
Find version info, legal documents, terms of service, and other app details. Not the most exciting section, but good to know it's there if you need it.
Support
Need help? This is your direct line to the Buddzy support team. Whether you need to report an issue, request a phone number change, or ask about account deletion, Support is where you go.
Log Out
At the very bottom of Settings, you'll find the Log Out button. Tapping it will sign you out after a confirmation prompt. You'll need your phone number and a new OTP to get back in.
Pro Tips
- Bookmark the Settings location in your mind. You'll visit it more than you think, especially early on when you're customizing everything.
- Check the Notifications section after your first few days. Once you know which alerts matter to you, turn off the ones that don't.
- Visit Privacy settings at least once so you know exactly what's toggled on and off.
- The Support section is the starting point for any account changes that can't be done self-service (phone number change, account deletion).
Good to Know
Settings is the only place in Buddzy where you manage the "boring but important" stuff. Everything else in the app is about gameplay and friendships. Think of Settings as backstage — you don't hang out there, but you need it to work.
